Don't Worry, He is Risen

Unseasonably warm weather had me worried for the early daffodils. It's my first spring on the prairie and I'm clueless how to handle the ups and downs and unpredictability of March in Kansas. There have been days approaching eighty degrees followed hard by mornings dipping into the low twenties.

The warm weather gifted me cheery daffodil bouquets. But the cold nights caused me to worry about the delicate daffodil blossoms and the lilac buds and the winter wheat crops. Sure enough, blustery bits of small hail and snow hit.

Daffodils down, daffodils down! Just as I feared. Except...

They rose. Happy heads of yellow rose in the light of the warm day and I learned daffodils aren't all that delicate. They're tough and uplifting. And fretting over them is wasted energy.

There it is again. Another solid faith lesson in God's creation. Worry less. Trust more. He is risen!
Wishing you a blessed Easter with peace in the knowledge Jesus loves you.
